My Own Color Story

My color story: Inevitably I'm drawn to red and green. When I was very young my grandmother, somewhat severe in demeanor, nevertheless filled her tiny Kingsport, Tennessee duplex with whimsy in red and green: furniture, dishes, lamps and modest art. So maybe my red and green aesthetic was imprinted very early? In these three paintings I stretch reds and greens, add a nod to 1600s Still Life paintings (honoring life and death) and just have some fun.
